Dra. Alicia Berbano Tamesis is presently the Chairman of the Adolescent Center of the Fe Del Mundo Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital, Quezon City. She was a Faculty member of St. Lukes Medical Center, College of Medicine until 2011. She was also the former Chairman of the Adolescent Center of the Philippine Childrens Medical Center. She graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. She took her residency training in Pediatrics at the Bellevue Medical Center in New York, USA and fellowship training in Adolescent Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, New York, USA. She did further training and took her Masters in Values Education at the University of Asia and the Pacific and Masters in Public Health at the Fe del Mundo Medical Center.


Dra. Tamesis held the following positions: Founding Vice President of the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination and then President of the same society. She was also the Founding President of the Society of Adolescent Medicine and Founding Vice President of the Philippine Society of Adolescent Medicine Specialist. She also became the President of the Community Pediatrics Association. For seven years, she was the Medical Director of the Fe del Mundo Medical Center.


She authored several researches on immunization, teenage pregnancy and adolescent medicine.


Dra. Tamesis is an Emeritus Fellow of the Philippine Pediatric Society.
